Satellite internet used to mean one thing: slow. Congestion, Obstruction, or Something Else
These three causes look similar in the moment but need different responses:
- Congestion - speed is consistently lower but stable, worse at predictable hours (usually evening). Nothing to fix; it's shared capacity.
- Obstruction - a tree branch, roofline, or weather causes brief total dropouts rather than a steady slowdown. Watch for short spikes in loss or latency during a live Connection Monitor session.
